CALL YOUR HITS!! Hit taking is one of the rules that is almost universally applied to airsoft matches. In effect, it is the rule that 'if you are hit, you're out'. However, this is not always the case. Some sites/games have 'medic rules', where you signify that you have been hit by perhaps tying a band around your arm (of a different colour to the enemy team's, if they are wearing bands) and waiting for one of your team mates to come and help. Once your team mate has arrived, you can get up and start fighting again. If you've been waiting too long or don't think it's likely that anyone is coming to help, you can 'bleed out' and respawn or exit from the game field. In some games with less rules, Hit taking may not matter as much, or at all.
